Montblanc took inspiration particularly from the Greatest Hits II album, with the iconic blue and gold cover and the crest that's been engraved beautifully on the nib. Their instruments are featured on the resin body of the pen; microphone, bass, guitar and drum kit. Freddie's crown inspired the cap top. And the clip is, of course, Freddie's mic stand, so often becoming his sceptre, or being played like a guitar alongside Brian.
